if you’ve run spybot search and destroy and have been infected with smitfraud then download this fix and run it in safe mode (should fix it).
converting real player to windows media player

you need to make sure you download the .rm file not the .ram file. secondly get this software (free) and install it. don’t bother reading all the guff unless you’re really desperate. run the software.
in the output container box at the top select a suitable version (mpg svcd compliant works in windows media player).
all the codecs are automatically selected. now right click somewhere and ‘add multimedia file’. it will drop into the box at the bottom. now depending on your monitor the ‘go’ or ’start’ button will be at the bottom (on my 14″ screen it’s hidden off screen!), so right click again and tick the ’stay on top of all’ and the button should appear. hit it and it should convert it for you and store the file in the output destination folder (you can also change this if you want).
